Ernest George Weafer was my paternal grandfather. One of my brothers is named after him. My grandfather has been deceased for a long time. His grave is in the Mason Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. His wife, my grandmother Effie, preceded him in death [also in San Antonio] and my great-grandmother Belle Fox before her. My father, also deceased, was his son Eugene Clyde Weafer. Ernest and his wife Effie had three children: Eugene, Blanche, and Lillian.

Hi Patty
Not much but two things, as the name Dominick runs in the Wafer family, I tried using that in familysearch.com, and I found two english marriages, one in 1754 in Liverpool, and the other in about 1780 in Portsmouth.
Regards
Dermot
