Paul A Weadon Jr - PA
Paul A Weadon Sr - b.Virginia d.PA
Ashford Weadon (possibly VA)
Samuel Weedon

This is where I get stuck. Rumored to go back to General George Weedon of the Revolutionary War.
Thanks!!!

Jennifer,
Yes, I've heard the story of the General Weedon connection in my family as well. The truth is Gen Weedon died "without issue" (this according to the Society of Cincinnati, to which I applied for membership as a direct descendant). Also, Ashford's father was not Samuel Weedon, as I've seen reported elsewhere, but John Weedon, mother Margaret Calahan--this according to his marriage bond with Mollie O'Bannon in 1875. My email is Mark.Weadon@yahoo.com.
Cheers, Mark

Paul A. Weadon Sr was my grandfather. He is the third one you have listed. He had 2 sons Paul and Richard and a daughter Louise. I am wondering if you are my cousin Paul's daughter. He lives in Texas now. I too have heardabout the ancestry going back to General George Weedon of Virginia but it is difficult to confirm. I have been to his home in Fredricksburg. I know that Weadon is a variant of Weedon. I certainly would love to find the connection. Maybe the Loudon County, VA library records would have the origin or relationship mentioned somewhere. It has been of interest to me ever since my Dad told me about the family crest, the General, etc but never proven.
