Surnames: Weadon,Easterling,Smith
Mary, Samuel & Rachel Ellen Smith Weadon lived in KC, married
March 1, 1881, Jasper Co MO, had 2 sons Claude & Fred Thomas, who moved to CA. Rachel is buried in KC. Samuel was a carpenter.
Rachel & her widow mother and other children are on the 1880 Jasper Co MO Census. We are not sure what happened to the father, William Thomas Smith, but found one that died in 1879.
Also, cannot find when Mary (Polly) the mother died.
Married in Sangamon Co IL, the family lived in Decatur Co IA for a few years.
I was in touch with Marian and also Helen (Ellen)'s son, a priest and he promised to send the info he had to me and forward what I had sent to you (I believe), that you were very interested.
But never heard from him, although I sent a followup letter.
There are 3 of us researching the Smith family and having a great time doing it. The Tillocks moved to OK, our home state.
Thanks for your reply and hope to hear from you.
If you would like my emai, let me know also.

Still working on the Family

Sure would like to hear from you...Never received a reply promised by your relative, a priest Easterling.

Hi, I know this is a few years later, but am trying to locate lineage for Roger Thomas Weadon (my grandfather and Roger Thomas Weadon Junior, my father). Family stories have indicated a direct relationship to William Jennings Bryan on my grandfather's side (mother probably). Would be interested in knowing if this is a possibility. Roger Thomas Weadon was born in Washington, D.C., - wife was Bertha Pearl Minic (or Minnich? ) - that is all I have.

Thanks,

Terri,

Jean Salisbury married my uncle Don Weadon during WWII. Both are deceased, but I am still in touch with their children (my cousins), Don and Priscilla. Email me at mark.weadon@yahoo.com and I can help you get in touch.

Cheers,
Mark Weadon

Hope,

I would be interested to see what information you have gleaned on the Weadon lineage. I have managed to trace my line back to Ashford Weadon (1813-1900) of Loudoun County VA, via son Francis/Frank W. (my great-great grandfather)who moved to Greensburg, IN in 1854. Let's compare notes. My email is Mark.Weadon@yahoo.com.

cheers,

Mark
