Dedicated to Frank Wilbur Wead and his descendants...it is currently difficult to locate surnames without a database to support the search. But, matching a 1936 address and focusing on that particular address in the 1940 census resulted in locating Frank and his family.

On Saturday, 25 May 1940, the Enumerator recorded the Wead family residing at 715 North Rexford Blvd, Beverly Hills City, Los Angeles County, California (see attachment).

On Tuesday, 16 April 1940, Enumerator Catherine Bacu documented in the 1940 census of Denver City, Colorado; enumeration district 16-133, supervisor district 1, sheet 15A / page 387A / line 20, block 107 - 108, Denver City, Denver County, Colorado, Mrs. Minnie B. Wead was listed (divorced, age: 48, completed 1 x year of college, POB: Colorado, employed as a "dress sales lady"). Copy of that sheet is provided here.

Beginning, 25 November 2009, my research generated much interest in the naval career and screen writing abilities of Frank W. Wead. The details of the research were compiled and posted at Wikipedia website (full version), but was later reduced to a revised version for brevity. The following are provided:

1. Full version (as it appeared when first completed): http://dictionary.sensagent.com/frank+wead/en-en/

2. Revised version (as seen today): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Wead

Additionally, my interest in the John Ford directed film "The Wings of Eagles" (1957) was a decision point to write a review of the film. This was posted on 18 March 2001 at Amazon.com

3. Review: http://www.amazon.com/The-Wings-Eagles-John-Wayne/dp/B000O59...
