Ancestry.com has a new database U.S.IRS Tax Assessment Lists 1862-1918. I found some interesting tax info on different Warmoths, but not sure who is listed 1865 in San Francisco as Warmouth, N. living at 423 Pacific and a Cattle Broker. He was taxed $10.00 in 1865 and again 1866.
There is also an entry for Warmouth & Co., Orleans Bar, Wholesale Liquor, $50.00 tax. Not sure what county. Anyone?
