Hi, You may already have this information, but I came accross it recently while researching my name (Work) at a near by library. From the 1850 Vital Records of Upton, MA.:
Upton Births Pg.69: WORK (see Wark), James, s. Robart and Jan, March 28, 1743.
Martha, d. Robart and Jan, Jan 1, 1750.
Mary, d. Robart and Jan, Jan 18, 1734 (dup. Wark, Mary, d. Robart and Jane, Jan. 20, 1734-35).
Rachel, d. Robart and Jan, June 11, 1746.
Robart, s. Robart and Jan, July 17, 1739.
Sarah, d. Robart and Jane, July 3, 1737.
Sarah, d. Robart and Jan, Dec. 28, 1741.
This was written the same way under the name Wark.
Upton Marriages pg. 152: Work (see Wark), Elizabeth and William Prechet, Feb. 15, 1737 (int. Jan. 18, 1737-8).
Rebacca and Matthew Lackey, Int. July 2, 1737.
Also written the same under Wark.
There were no deaths listed for either Wark or Work. There are other Works in some of the surrounding towns and many of them seem to be confused as to the spelling, Wark vs. Work. Hope you got something out of this.
Wanda Work Holmes
