I have a James William HICKEY killed 1875 by gunfire, near Loco, IT. He had a son named Oscar Daniel and I think a daughter named Sally (middle may have been Mahaney). I do not know his parents or siblings or where he was born. I saw this post and the names were so simular I thought I would reply to it. James married Minerva "Callie" WARD, born in MS.I do not know where they met. Minerva's family migrated to the TX>IT>OK area around 1870. I had heard James William HICKEY was a TX ranger.
