Hi Holly & Nate, I have corres. with you bef. Nate, but it was yrs ago. So glad to see your latest messages. I think Zilphia Walpole b. 1802 Georgia may be the daug. of Frances A. Walpole, the wife of John Thomas Walpole. Zilphia m. John Barnett b. 1800 Georgia in 1823. They are my 4th gr. grandparents. They lived in Lauderdale Co., MS abt 1830-1850 then moved to San Saba, TX where they died. Their first child was named Frances Amanda Barnett - prob. after her mother. I need to prove who Zilphia's parents are. I am hoping to make the connection & wonder if you have found any information over the years that would help me. In the book abt 1938, The Call of the San Saba by Alma Ward Hamrick - she stated that Zilphia Walpole descended from The House of Walpole in England.I'm happy to share what I have & help in any way.
