Holly, hello I am also descended from James Albert Walpole. I haven't been online for awhile but I do have Lots of info on the Walpoles. In 1982 book there is a reference to Thomas Walpole of Brunswick Co. Virginia being poisoned by slaves in 1792. It also covers Gabriel's Revolt which was sort of started by a run in between Gabriel Prosser and Absolom Johnson (a Walpole son in law) in 1799 that landed Gabriel in the county jail and started him thinking about a slave revolt. I imagine that Ole Absolom and his Walpole relatives were on the to do list, I have not found a link yet to the Prime Minister of England. I do believe that the link will be earlier as I believe we are probably related to Caesar Walpole who settled in VA about 1660. It is too bad the Union Army destroyed the records for this time period or we would know more. Just let me know what sort of information you want and I will look up what I have for you and either email you copies or mail them to you.
