I was reading a post of yours from 2000. I was disappointed to see that John Walpole married Polly James UNTIL I saw he remarried Francis A James, in a later post!

When you said, "John married again and apparently the other Tennessee Walpoles are descended from the second wife, Francis A. James had a farm at Mt Juliet, Tn in Wilson County which my grandfather Jacob inherited.”

I believe I am part of those “Other TN Walpoles”!

Do you know the other children of John and Francis? Was there a Tom who married Frances Johnson?
