I believe that will be a "yes". If so, you need to check in Texas.
We had an infux of German immigrants in about 1830. They came both from other states and from Germany. Those that came from other states were, so far as I have seen, from the Palintate Countries and were called Palintate Christians. Of course with the charming Catholic Churches in Cental Texas and futher South it appears the ones from Germany were mostly Catholic. Wallaces were close to that group, or at least my Wallace were living among them and they are in my husband family later. I have a Nancy Wallace in his family but do not have them worked out yet. I am beginning to wonder if I will. I believe they entered TX as Wallis. They were great pioneers to move in among the Indians and start their families. I got my info by using "google" to check German Immigrant to Texas. I don't know how you look up trees. Feel free to look at mine at ceim2634 Lizzie Bell Mcdowell. If you want to connect and share mine and yours, send your info and email. I am not sure how you look up a tree without being connected through the Member function. If you know how share with me, please I have some of the German Palintates in both sides of our tree.
