Wow what a name! When was she born?
My husband's mother was a mcdowell. Her mother was Gotcher (one of the German families) Mattie Gotcher married a Tanner, he died in five years with 3 children born. Don't know how she managed but she was married before the year (1900) wzs out and living w/new husband, her 3 Children and her widowed father. I wish I had asked her about her heritage but I can't remember if she could talk when we got married and we were oh so young. ceim2634
