Looking for birth and further ancestory information of William Wallace.

From census and family information William was born between 1850-1852. Census records denote his birth place as Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland. However, family records reckon he was born in Whitley, Northumberland (not too far away!).

He married Barbara Ann Love 01 Jan 1869, Parish Church, Byker, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland. On this record his father is recorded as Thomas Wallace, occupation Engineman. William is recorded as living in Byker, occupation Engineman Striker.

I can find no definate record of William in the 1851 or 1861 census records.

There is a Thomas Wallace resident in Whitley, noted in the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census records. Thomas is recorded as being born 1798, Hexham, Northumberland, married to Jane, occupation Engineman. Only two children are recorded Thoma, born 1825 and Margaret, born 1827.

Jane his wife may have been formerly Baird, having married 8 July 1824, Wallsend, St. Peter, Northumberland.

The only other information I have is that William's sister apprently died while sleep walking in Hillstead Quarry. I cannot locate this quarry in the area although there is a Marden Quarry.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks
Rich
