My gggGrandfather was named David Walkinshaw Wyllie. His sister Mary also had that middle name! I've often thought that was an odd middle name and thought I might find it was his mother's maiden name or something. However, I recently traced several more generations for him and found no Walkinshaw surnames! His father was Robert Wyllie and his mother was Jennet Dunlop. Jennet's parents were (near as I can tell) James and Isobel, nee Caskie. Robert's parents may have been James and Mary, nee Connel.

I was wondering if you have any of these people in your database or have any idea why that name might have been used. Any help appreciated. Lori Bragg
