Hi,
I have just seen your old message. I have just started to research Rev Walker, merely because I now live in the vicarage and a local rumour is that Queen Victoria paid for an extension to the house in the 1880s. I have not Oundle the connection yet but was very surprised to read that one of his children was born in Woodditton near Newmarket. It is a small village a couple of hours away - I only know this because my wife was also born there - a strange coincidence.

I'm sorry but I have not come across those names during my ancestor search. This is because my great Grandfather Matthew Walker had an argument with his father and never went back or talked to him again. I recently found that his father's name was Harrison Walker.

I am starting to see many post concerning Walkers still in Great Britain. We are doing a lot of work with the Walker Surname concerning DNA here in the States. The largest and most organized Walker Surname Project is at Family Tree DNA with over 800 Walker males tested. We are grouped in over 60 distinct DNA Groups. If interested contact me at solarram99@isp.com. It would be great for us to find our links back to England and the rest of our starting places.
Terry Walker
Group-13 Walker Surname Project FTDNA

Hi,
I am looking for the descendants of Aaron Walker (abt 1830). He was born in TN, probably Nashville. He married Delia and they had 9 children; Ida(abt 1860), Sarah (1863), Mary (1865), Elizabeth (1866), Selia/Celia (1869), Jordan (1872 Cherry (abt 1877), Byas (aby 1878), Gerty/Gertrude (abt 1879). By the 1900 census Delia listed as a widow and sheis living with her son Jordan. Celia/Selia is also in the household listed as a widower. She was married to Will McClenney. I am very interested in parents of Aaron Walker as well. He had one known sibling named Rhodie/Rhody who married John Washington. I can be reached at tamblyn_jones@yahoo.com

I'm looking for information about John or Jonathan Sylvester Walker, born in May of 1850 in either New York or Wisconsin. He married Fannie (Fanny) Kinister (sp?) in 1879.

He is listed in the 1880 Federal census as 30 year old John Walker, living in Claremont Village, Dodge Co., Minnesota, working as a laborer, his and his parent's birthplace as N.Y., his 24 year old wife Fanny, and his sister-in-law, 17 year old Katy Wilson, and Katy's 1 year old son, George.

In the 1900 Federal Census in Little Falls, Monroe County, Wisconsin, John is listed as a farmer, living with his wife Fannie and sons William, Charles, and Frederick, and daughter Ida.

After that, he disappears from the face of the earth. In 1905 in Greenfield, Monroe Co., Wisconsin, his wife, Fanny, is listed as being married to Asa Booth.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

He is not related to the man in the first photo.
The Walkers lived in Streatham & Mitcham, London and the Ashton comes from the surname of his father's mother.
I would like to know who put the photo on the net as we must be related.
Will of Ebenezer walker drawn November 1806 mentions son John so he was alive and a son in 1806. Also mentions son Aaron etc.
Suggest looking in location of Ebenezer's land given to John in 1806. Track land sales for the period to find out where the land and to whom it went?

George WALKER takes a wife but misses out!

I am trying to find the correct marriage for my GGG Grandfather, George WALKER, born 1819 (I think) & christened on 5 Dec 1819 St Chad, Lichfield, Staffordshire, England. I consulted FreeBMD and discovered a George WALKER marrying in December 1841, but the female spouses listed all wed others, not George (as far as I can trace)! On the referenced page 17/99 from the original register book it lists:
Marriages Dec 1841 (>99%)
DOWNING Elizabeth Lichfield 17	99
GOODWIN Martha Lichfield 17	99
HUGHES Thomas Lichfield 17	99
TAVERNOR Thomas Lichfield 17	99
WALKER George Lichfield 17	99
WHILE Hannah Lichfield 17	99
____

It bothers me that there are only 6 names as I expected 8. I checked out all the spellings for "WHILE" including "WHITE" but no luck.
Any chance someone could look up film of the original handwritten entries? The census is not complete for Staffordshire for any years and is seemingly absent for 1851 which I thought would give me his wife's forename. A census lookup might help too if anyone has access to a more complete copy or the originals.
I'm not in a position to order certificates at this stage.
Thanks from Downunder :)

Louise Mildred Walker (nee Cope)

Hi, I am looking for information on my great grandmother Louise Mildred Cope (1894-1952). She gave my grandmother up for adoption when she was 21 and although they reconnected later in life I know very little of her. I would especially love a picture if any family member still has one. I believe she married a man named Phillip Cooper Walker a few years after my grandmother's birth. Any information would be wonderful. Thank you!

Lindsay Ruck
Aaron Walker and brother John Walker descendants

I would like to compare information with descendants of Aaron Walker b. 1784 in Pennsylvania d. abt 1823 Harrison, Ohio. Quaker, married first Miriam Rigg and second Rebecca Brown. Additionally, I would very much like to locate documented information on his older brother John Walker. Both are descendants of Ebenezer Walker and his second wife Dianah Ball. There is lots of information about children from his first wife. But did John have any descendants? My brother has recently taken a Y-DNA test and did not match any of those currently in the Walker DNA group.

Thank your for any guidance or direction you can give. I have quite a bit of info on Ebenezer already.

Margel Walker Soderberg
Not me...I am only related to the Nancy Walker who married Jacob Maryon Coffman in 1799 at the home of James Walker who died in 1801, reportedly from an Indian skirmish in Jefferson Co. TN. He was the son of John Walker of Goochland Co. VA whose Will was probated in 1794.

It is believed that Nancy was the sister of James who was first married to Richard Owl before she married Grandfather Jacob. It is not known what happened to Richard or the marriage, but she would have been only 15yrs old when her father died. She was childless and called Nancy Walker on the 1799 Marriage Certificate for her and Grandfather Jacob in TN.

Are you related to my James Walker? He had 8 kids, among them were William Lafayette, Samuel Houston, and Napoleon Bonapart. Sam Houston Walker was my great-great grandfather.
Jana

I have since found a bit more information. It appears the children of Ernest L Walker and Martha Smith Walker were all born in Sentinel Butte, The Beach and Golden Valley County North Dakota. Ernest and Martha were married on 9-15-1908 in Dickinson and resided on a homestead near the Beach. She had arrived there around 1903 or 1904 not sure where she arrived from. They had sons Joseph (Erna Myers), Walter (Clara Paul), Eugene, and daughters Ethel (single) and Lottie (Earl McGrane)
