((I do not know this person and have no futher info))Walker, Ruel W. "Rudy" Mr. Ruel W. "Rudy" Walker, age 67, of Nebo, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008 at The McDowell Hospital. A native of McDowell County, Mr. Walker was born July 25, 1941 and was a son of the late Worth Walker and Ruth Lawing Walker. He retired from Drexel Heritage Furnishings. His family will remember him as a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Surviving Mr. Walker are his wife, Jeannette Moore Walker of the home; five children, Sheila Henson and husband, Herman, Angela Leon and husband, Celedonio, all of Glenwood, David Mitchell, Roger Mitchell and wife, Vanessa, and Tammy Creson and husband, Richard, all of Marion; sister, Debra Porter of Virginia; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at 3 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Ray Holland officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Jeannette Walker, P.O. Box 2148, Marion, NC 28752.
