Hi,

Henry Walker was my grandmother's brother. I know very little about him but he was always known as Harry in the family. He died in 1950.

His father, Samuel, was in the British Army so the family moved about a lot.

Rose & Samuel were married in Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland on 14th July 1890 while Samuel was stationed in the Curragh Barracks. They then lived in various places in England until the family returned to Scotland around 1912.

They moved into 18 Bay Street, Port Glasgow & Samuel, Rose & Harry all lived there until their deaths. Rose died in 1929 & Samuel in 1932. Samuel's death cert gives his age as 74 so born around 1858.

I have some scanned photos but they are on another computer. I'll get them to you in the next week or so.

Are you related to Maria Christie?

Margaret
