I was told that Waalk was my great grandmother Adeline's maiden name. She married Albert Miller (tombstone gives middle initial as M., but death certificate lists R.). They lived in Owosso Michigan in the late 1800's until death in the 1930's & '40's. Both were from Germany. His father was Robert & hers was August. If you recognize these names, please let me know- I have almost no info. on these relatives.

Sorry to say, this isn't my ancestor. Mine was born in 1876 & died in 1937. Do you know any of your ancestors parents or grandparents' names? Maybe there is a connection, but farther back.

I think we did this once before. John & Maria came over in 1864, if my math is right. We don't know if there were relatives here before or after. They had seven children. I'll have to look that up too. Obit of daughter said less but obit of mother said 7. Have names for all but one.
My Adiline was married twice once to Victor Finley then to John Lindbohm.

Please let me know if you are still seeking information about Albert Miller and his wife Adeline. My great-grandfather Charles Miller had a brother named Albert. They came to the US in about 1894 (from Berlin, I think) and lived in side-by-side houses on King Street here in Owosso, Michigan. Albert sent to Germany for Adeline in about 1906. They had one son, I think, whose name was Albert Jr. Charles and Albert are buried close together in Oak Hill Cemetery. Please let me know if this is the family you are looking for, as I have some info and a few photos. Scott Newman (email: snewman57@hotmail.com)
