Location? This name appears in Adams Co. IL,
Cook Co., IL, Wisconsin, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and Brazil.

Time period also helps. Some of the Waacks in Adams Co., IL are listed at:

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=SHOW&...

One of them, William Carl Henry is my great-grandfather.
He did not write well, so his name also appears as WAAK.
His middle name is after his father Carl Heinrich, who also appears as Charles Henry.

Carl / Karl often pass for each other in German names, too.

Wes-

I have found recently that Carl Waack married Anna Sonnenburg in Newtonburg, Manitowoc Co., WI 28 March 1890. The records on this are at the St. John's Ev.Luth.Church in Manitowoc Co., WI. I know that they had at least a daughter names Elsa (Elisa) Waack who married Arnold W. Luebke. That is what I have. If you have any information I would appreciate any help.

Thanks for your time

That would not be my group. My ancestor Waacks were in or near Quincy. IL. I think there is some connection to the Wisconsin group but I don't know what it is.

Elsa Maria Henreitta Waack married Arnold August Luebke. They had 4 children that I am aware of, Arthur b. 1919, Arnold b. 1920, Rueben b 1923, and Ida b.1926. Both of these families had farms in the Newton area of Manitowoc County. Elsa's(Elsie) parents were Carl Waack (Wauck) and Anna Sonnenburg. Arnold A. Luebke was the son of Wilhelm(William) and Ottilia (Tillie) Luebke.

I am the Granddaughter of Arnold Luebke who married Ruth C Vetter. I am just getting started on my family tree and would appreciate any information you can pass on.
