Odd. I grew up in Patchogue in the 50's and 60's about 4 blocks from the railroad, but never knew a Tom or Dot McInerney. But then, there are a *lot* of McInerney's running around Brooklyn and eastern Long Island.

The name Diehl rings a faint bell; I will email my older sister, who has a stronger memory for these things. If the Diehl's came from Patchogue, she may remember if there are any family still around.
