I can tell you what my Father told me of the Vukasovich Family History.
The Vukasovich family was originally from Hercegovina, but left when the Turks decided to slaughter all the Christian nobility for fear that they might lead another revolution. In escaping, they fought the Turks all the way down the mountains to the Coast when the Turks retreated a Vukasovich raised the Serbian flag founding "Herceg Novi". From there, the family went both North and South along the Dalmatian Coast -- some to Croatia where they later converted to Catholicism, some remained around the Bay of Kotor where my Father was from and remained Serbian Orthodox.
My father was Savo Vukasovich, born in Lipse, Morinje, Boka Kotorska, in 1909. He had three brothers: Risto, Mirko Bogdan --and three sisters: Maria, Bosijlka and Rosa. His Father was Jovan and his Mother was Mara (nee Perovich).
I have one brother, Nick, and a nephew, Brent.
