Ticonderoga --- Elizabeth P. Vradenburg, 85, of Black Point Road in Ticonderoga, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at the Moses Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga.

She was born in Shoreham, Vt., on Aug. 30, 1916, the daughter of Edward J. and Julie (LaMarque) Desjadon.

She worked in the Ticonderoga High School Cafeteria for over 14 years.

She was a life member of Ticonderoga Ladies Fireman's Auxiliary and a life member of the Ticonderoga American Legion Post 224. She was a former member of Ladies of the Elks.

She enjoyed her flea markets and both crocheting and embroidery.

She is survived by five sons, Edward Vradenburg of Ticonderoga, Thomas Vradenburg of Ticonderoga, Frederick Vradenburg of Massachusetts, Donald Vradenburg of Ticonderoga and William Vradenburg of Arkansas; four daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Mason, Mary Gonyo, Patricia Blowers and M. Jane Wright all of Ticonderoga; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Louis Vradenburgm; and one daughter, Marion "Peanut" Messier who died on June 3, 2002.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Connery & Gunning Funeral Home in Ticonderoga. The Ticonderoga Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary will meet at the Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. for ritualistic services. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2002, at the funeral home, the Rev. William Muench of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ticonderoga officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Ticonderoga Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary.
