Hello Alex, and all the other Vouri's my name is Carol Ann and I am the youngest daughter of Earnest J. Vouri, I do not know much about the ffamily but I am really looking forward to finding out as much as I can about where I come from.

Did Ernest die in Orange Texas? if so then I am his third daughter, Susan. Any info you have on the family would be most appreciated, as all four of his daughters were sdopted by 3 seperate families in Texas, an dlittle is know about any of his family.

i was adopted but my real fathers name was earnest john vouri. i do not remeber my mother only that her name was mary from galveston texas. i have 3 sisters, i am jeneane, ana marie changed to theresa, susan, and carol ann. i met my aunt annie in melbourne fl and her son dennis. are we any kin?

My son finally got around to telling me that he'd contacted you. Thanks for filling him in. Hard to believe we last saw each other in the early 70's. I still remember the fun we had together in 1968 just before I went to Vietnam...including the Neru jackets. Life goes on.

My father is Mike Vouri eldest and only son of John Vouri.

So your cousin Mike's son---haven't seen him since the early '70s---your right about the tribe--here's how the family runs --I'lll try to get it in order Anne, Ignatius(John), Marie(my mom), Jane(deceased), Helen(deceased 1932), Ernest(deceased), Martin, Frank(in California), & Joyce. Uncle Frank has done some work in the area and if you look under Vori--the way the name was spelled before anglicized in this country you'll find that Marko Vori was the son of Matija from Mala Polana and Ana Hozjan baptized 14 June 1893. Grandma Ana Vori (nee Krampac) was born in Prekmurje, Trnje July 22, 1897 and died Dec 16, 1950. She was the daughter of Jozef Krampac and Katarina Horvat. Hope this gets you started--I've sort of run into a block because most of the stuff on the web is in Slovene. Say Hi to everyone and let me know if you find anything.

Alex,

I am the great grandson of Marko Vouri of Chicago. One of his sons was named John. He joined the armed forces (Army, I think(?)) and moved to California in the 1920's(?). Some of his other children were my grandmother Anne, Ernie Gus, and Francis (Frank). I think there were more.

Actually, I'm just starting to put together some geneology. If you think we're from the same family, please respond.

Hello, I am Alex Vouri, Son of Mike Vouri.
My Grandparents are John and Sue Vouri.
Sprung from a large Slovenian family in Chicago,
My Family is Spread far across the country, ranging
from Chicago, to Florida, to California, to
where I live, here in Washington State. My Grandfather
has many siblings, whom I know of, but do not
know. So any of you out there who find my
history familiar, drop me a Line!
