Voth family after 1517 were simply German (with no swiss) Mennonites originally came from the Lower Saxony area of Germany during the Holy Roman Empire, mostly whom migrated towards the borders of Russia in an area that was known as Vohlynia that borders Prussia because of religious persecution of protestants. Eventually, they moved back towards the Netherlands and then immigrated to America mostly in the late 1800's. They mostly spoke Northern Low Saxon or Low German, at least mein opa and great grandfather did. You should all take a look at my family tree.
