Hi Cory,

My Fout family were Voths prior to 1885. They migrated with the 1874 Migration from Vohlynia. They were in Ostrog. They went against the grain where everyone else was settling in Kansas and South Dakota they settled in Southern Johnson Co, Iowa with the Mennonites who had come from Pennsylvania but eventually moved further north in the county and changing the name to Fout and no longer being Mennonites. I may never know why. My gr-gr-grandfather even became an Oddfellow. It is very hard to research for me because there are so many with the same names. So much so that there are two sets of Andreas Voth and Helena Koehn's who married each other.

Have you found the grandma database? http://www.grandmaonline.org/gw-asp-2/login.asp
