Just received the probate package from the State of Wisconsin, County Court for Brown County for Seward H. VOSE, departed this life at Town of Lawrence, Brown Co., Wisconsin on the 7th day of January 1887 petitioned by his son Asahel VOSE of Outagamie Co., WI. The said deceased left surviving five children:
Asahel S. VOSE of Kaukaua, Outagamie Co., WI
Silvia A GREEN wife of James GREEN of Boscobel, WI
Delia E. MURPHY wife of Henry MURPHY of Princeton, Minn
Emma J. YOUNG wife of John N. YOUNG of Lawrence, Brown Co,
Giles H. VOSE of Princeton, Minn. All over 21 years of age.
And a grandson, Adna (Adney Edmund) VOSE, son of Timothy (Delorus) VOSE died, lives in Fairhaven, Minn, age about 14 years. Administrators appointed were Robert CRABB and Henry CRABB. Notice was to be published 10 days prior to the probate hearing which would be on the 1st Tuesday of March 1887, and to be published thereof three weeks successively in the State Gazette.

From marriage records, Seward H. VOSE was married to Angeline PHILLIPS, daughter of Asahel Friend PHILLIPS and Sylvia PRICE PHILLIPS. Both Seward and Angeline were born in New York according to census reports.

Seward and Angeline named three of their sons after Angeline's father and/or brothers Asahel, Giles and Delorus and a daughter after Angeline's sister Adelia..
