My ggrandfather, Charles, was born Aug. 18, 1825 in the Spandau barracks. He learned the trade of making leather slippers. I know the names of 3 brothers. Don't know if there are any more. Adolph Siegmund Voigt, b.abt 1821, August Voigt, b. abt 1821 and Eduard. There were sisters, but don't know their names. Charles has written that his father died Sept. 5, 1846, mother died Jan. 23, 1848. Charles came to Charleston, South Carolina abt 1848 and married Johanna Reinbach there in 1850 . My grandfather, Edward George born in 1855 in Charleston and Charles died there in 1896. Charles was Lutheran. I am trying to find his father's first name and his mother's maiden name and where he was baptized in Spandau. Any other information would be appreciated,
