Howard E. Vogt
Howard E. Vogt, age 83, of Erie, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center. He was born on September 14, 1925, son of the late Henry and Gertrude Knapp Vogt. He was a member of Elmwood Presbyterian Church where he had served as Elder and Trustee. He was employed for 28 years with American Sterilizer until his retirement in 1987. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Howard
is survived by his wife of 60 years, Genevieve Kreider Vogt; one daughter, Barbara Owen (Richard) of Lynchburg, Va.;
two sons, Edward H. Vogt (wife Janet) of Fairview
and Ronald O. Vogt (wife Linda) of Erie;
one sister, Mary Kempa (husband Walter) of Erie; three grandsons, Justin Owen,
Thomas Vogt
and Timothy Vogt
and great-grandsons;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Buetikofer and Margaret Orton,
and one brother, Archie Butts.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev.
