NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Lena Mae Stalma, 86, formerly of New Castle, Pa., passed away the morning of July 9, 2014, at Masternick Memorial Health Care in New Middletown.

Lena Mae was born Aug. 23, 1927, in New Castle.
She is the daughter of the late David and Helen E. Seward Vogan.

She married the late Andrew Stalma Jr., who preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2001. They were married for 52 wonderful years.

Lena Mae was Methodist and attended the Croton Methodist Church.

Mrs. Stalma was a loving wife and mother to her husband and children. She was a member of the U.A.W. Union -retirees women group.
Lena Mae enjoyed gardening, sewing, making clothes, and making apple butter. Her greatest joy was spending time cooking for her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Stalma is survived by a son, Ronald D. (Lucy) Stalma of New Wilmington, Pa.; daughter, Karen J. (Dennis) Wasson of New Middletown; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Andrew, Lena Mae was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Vogan and Lawrence L. Vogan; and two sisters, Edna Sleigher and Vivian Byers.

Calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. in New Castle.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the funeral home. Chaplin Ellen Barney of Southern Care Hospice will officiate.

Burial will be at Castleview Memorial Gardens.

The family is very grateful for the care and support of Guardian and Masternick Memorial Health Care Centers and also Southern Care Hospice.
