I am looking for any kin to Francis Keene Vita, My husbands biological father. We are not sure exactly where he is from but we think from NJ. He was also in the military. There he met up with a young female nurse (you know how the story goes) he leaves and nine months later behold my Hubby.
We are not looking for any "why's?" just trying to find family!

I am still looking for any Vita from Pa or Indiana. I have a Dominick Vita(not sure of the spelling) Biagio was his son and he married Rose Stone whose parents were Carl and Cassetta we think. I know Biagio traveled on ship Berlin from Naples, Campania Italy not sure of Dominick when he came over and he may have been married to cassetta. Not sure if that is how you spell her name. Hit a brick wall here. Anything familiar to anyone? Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks and good luck in your searches

I don't know if I will be of ANY help to you, it's a LONG time since you first posted that message. My aunt (who is Concetta [Vita] Lauriello's Daughter) informed me that Joesph and Mary Vita came from Sciacca, Sicily.

looking for vita family from sicily.giuseppe[joseph]and maria C[mary] vita.they had 11 children.4 born in sicily,7 born nyc.giuseppe was born approx.1871,maria in1873.their children were vito,1892,enyaw[?]1894,josephina,1897,ignatz,1901,andrew,1903,maria[mary]1904,constantino,1906,tony,1907,gussie1909,connie,1911,andmike,1917.the first 4 were born in sicily.they arrived in states between 1900 and 1902.i know most of the spouses,children and addresses for these people.i want to know from what part of sicily were they from.giuseppe and marias parentage and did either one have siblings.its a long,slow process,but i'll find everyone of them.mary vita married francesco[frank]peluso in 1923.she was my grand-mother. ignatz and constantino changed their name from vita to vito,the rest remained vitas[at least until they married.the girls married names were chiarella,peluso,anderson[2nd.marr.]and lauriello.i have a list of husbands,wives,and children,residences in 1958,etc.too much to be listing here.ages are approx.withen months.

William Vita

I am looking for any information on William Vita (also known as Billy Vita). I know he was born in 1914(I believe astrologically he was/is a leo), in New York. He had two sisters, one named Rosalie, born May 12, 1912 and the other named Mary, born August 18, 19925. His mother was also named Mary and his father's name was Leopoldo (Leo). He's family came to America through Ellis Island in approximately 1910/1912.
William (Billy) served in the military during WWII, he spent 36mos at the front line overseas.
He got married to a woman name Annie and they had one son named Leo.
I am William's niece, but we have never met. I don't know if he's even still living. I beleive his son still lives in the New York area, but we have never met either.
