According to his Discharge Paper and Passport from the Kingdom of Wuerttemberg dated 8-14-1850, my second great Grandfather, “Moriz Friedrich Franz Adolph VISCHER, The Master Book Binder and Business Man, b. 6-30-1814 in Westheim, Germany”. He married Christina SCHUBER, b. abt. 1-1820 in Germany. They had two daughters born in Germany, Pauline Kathrina Christina, b. 2-9-1830 and Martha Rosa Pauline, b. 4-5-1841. This family immigrated to the United States and settled in Washington Twps. (later became part of Toledo), Lucas Co., Ohio.
Once settled in the U.S. my second great Grandfather went by Adolph VISCHER. Adolph, Christina and two children who died as infants are buried at the Haughton Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio.
My great Grandfather, Louis P. VISCHER was born abt. 1855 in Lucas Co., Ohio. Before 1880 he married Elizabeth HAGUE, b. abt. 1855 in Ohio. According to the 1910 Federal Census, Elizabeth’s parents were both from Germany. Louis VISCHER owned and operated a greenhouse in Toledo. Louis and Elizabeth Hague VISCHER had the following six
children born in Lucas County, Ohio:
Arthur John, b. 8-19-1880, d. 7-7-1973 in CA, m. Edna Seney (my grandparents)
Cora R., b. 3-8-1882, d. 2-1981 in Toledo, m. Wm. Conrad
Allie L., b. 2-29-1884, d. 4-13-1982 in CA, m. Rose Handling
Charles, b. 8-25-1887, d. 5-1970 in Ohio, m. Cora Helbing, m. Cathryn Burand
Harry, b. 6-10-1890, d. 1973 in Michigan, m. Hazel (?)
Grace, b. 4-13-1892, d. ? in Ohio, m. D. Johnson
I am seeking information on Moriz Friedrich Franz Adolph VISCHER and his wife Christina SCHUBER VISCHER. Also I am looking for their two daughters who immigrated with them, Pauline Kathrina Christina and Martha Rosa Pauline
VISCHER. From Census records I believe that Pauline VISCHER may have married Louis Schramm, also from Toledo, Ohio.
If any of this is familiar please contact me.
