My grandfather's name was Domenico Villari, but was in Cincinnati about the same time. In 1908, there was a major earthquake, killing my great grandfather, and my grandfather was sent to USA with an Uncle.
However, my grandmother's mother's maiden name was also Villari, and I have been told that her relatives where in Philidelphia. My great grandmother's name was Pietrina Villari and had she had a brother Mateo Villari and a sister Caterina Villari. Their parent's names were Felix and Marina Villari. I know the names from an 85 year old aunt, but know little else about them. Mateo's family is the one I am told came to Philidelphia - I am not sure if that means he came or if his decendants came. He would be about the right age to have a son of marrying age in the early 1900's. I don't know if there is anyway to check - but it would be fun if we could make the connection!
