John "Jack" Vieaux, 76, of Columbus and formerly of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at home. Jack was born on Oct. 23, 1930, in Green Bay to Lawrence and Eva (Arseneau) Vieaux. He was a 1949 graduate of the Columbus High School and was married to Joan Schultz on Oct. 18, 2003, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus, WI. Jack was a salesmen all of his life. He was in the Airborne Battalion during the Korean War. Jack was very active in sports, played baseball for the Louisville Kernels and was an avid bowler, golfer, deer hunter, and a great Green Bay Packer fan. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus.
Survivors include his wife Joan Vieaux of Columbus; two sons, Craig (Delores) Vieaux of Green Bay, and Alan Vieaux of Green Bay; two stepdaughters, Theresa Winter and Julie (Todd) Hornbacher both of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Daniel Vieaux of Green Bay, Nicholas Schultz of Phoenix, Az; Kelsey, Nicole, and McKenzie Winter, Noah and Savannah Hornbacher all of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Laurence Vieaux, and his first wife, Alice Vieaux.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at ST AGNES CATHOLIC CHURCH in Green Bay. Rev Richard Gretchel will officiate. Interment will be in the St Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Green Bay with full military rites. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.
