As my mother-in-law and I try to research this family line, we are finding there are not many Viaene's. We have names and dates on our line that came to America from Belgium. If there are any others who wish to compare notes and exchange information, please write to let us know. It's always nice to share!haha!

My great-grandfather was Henry Viaene -- settled in S.E. Idaho near Nampa and farmed in the 1880's. He was an immigrant from "Flanders".

Hi Ron,
My husbands' great grandfather was Henry Joseph Viaene in that area of Idaho too!
Who are your parents? Feel free to email me directly if you like. We have Viaene's in WA state who are from Henry 's line as well. His second wife's name was Irma Van de Viaene(sp?). Does that ring a bell with you?
I hope to hear from you and take care,
Shannon Viaene

My mother was Adrienne Viaene and if you are looking for people with the same name, you must be in Belgium.
We have a family tree who goes back to +/- 1600.
We have the book but it is not on internet.
I have a cousin who lives in PEI Canada who also has the book. His name is Lucien Viaene.
If you want to have more information you can sent me a mail.

I too am trying to search for relatives. My grandparents were George
and Maria, who immigrated from Belgium to Mount Brydges Ontario,
Canada. In probably the 30s. Seems to be more Viaenes state side. Just wondering if anyone might have any information.

Anyone interested in a high quality digital headstone photo of Carl Vaiene please contact me at dejadoo@runbox.com which is the address mentioned with my name above, or simply reply to this query. There is absolutely no charge for this photo. The photo was taken at the Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma, Canyon Co., Idaho. I am really enjoying photographing older headstones in cemeteries near where I live and half the fun of this project is to share them with family or those who would like them.
The photos are taken with a 5 megapixel camera and after cropping and using minimal compression the file is about 800K. I just hate to scrimp on quality or size of the image. Make sure your email box has the room before sending your request.
I think there are other Vaiene's in this cemtery but was just taking random shots of interesting headstones. After looking through the messages posted here I think there is a Henry Vaiene and a few others buried here. There are several of them mentioned in the 1930 Notus, Canyon County, Idaho, living in Notus which is close to the cemetery. I may be going back to this cemetery one of these days soon but for now I have this one photo that I will be glad to send.
