HOWLAND – Joan J. Veverka passed away May 14, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. (Mahoning County)
Joan was born May 28, 1930, in Niles, Ohio, (Trumbull County) a daughter of the late Edward E. and Ann M. (McGarry) Bycraft.
A 1949 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Joan retired in 1997, from Warren General Hospital as a registered nurse.
Joan was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
On Dec. 5, 1959, Joan was united into marriage with William E. Veverka, and together, they shared 39 years, until his passing on Feb. 19, 1999.
Memories of Joan will be cherished by her daughter, Margaret “Maggie” Ann (Christopher) Kowach of Howland, OH; two sons, Joseph A. (Kim) Veverka of Newton Falls and William E. (Christine) Veverka of Canfield, OH; and five grandchildren, Alexander and Sarah Veverka and Calli, Hannah, and Christopher Kowach.
Besides her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by twin boys; and a brother, Edward Bycraft.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Warren, OH.
Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, OH.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015, at the Staton-Borowoski Funeral Home, in Warren, and one hour prior to Mass, Monday at the church. - See more at:
