I am looking for any information which can help me trace my ancestors back from Thomas Vernon lapidary who lived in Edinburgh.

I believe he was born 1782 (perhaps in Hampshire) and his father was William Vernon (born abt 1759 in Edinburgh). His mother may have been Mary Pease (born abt 1756 in Edinburgh). Thomas Vernon married Ann Elizabeth Harker in London and they had 5 children (Thomas Harker, William Francis, Charlotte Ann, Jane Elizabeth, and John Edward). They spent their life in Edinburgh which is why I am not sure if he was born in Hampshire or not.
