Stanley Mathew Venosky, 78, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his home.
He was born August 8, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) to Stanley and Katherine Venosky.
Stan married Jackie Bailey on March 29, 1969.
He was an Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War. He worked at United Technologies in North Manchester 35 years, retiring in 1995.
After retirement, he worked at Kroger Foods and LoBill Grocery, because he was such a social person and enjoyed working.
He served on the liquor board, was part of the census bureau, and was a member of the Lions Club and the American Legion.
One of his greatest joys was coaching little league several years. He was an avid Indiana University and Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Venosky of Wabash; seven children, Stanley Venosky, Jr., James Venosky, Anna Venosky, all of Goshen, Indiana, Terry Hamilton, Mike Venosky, Debra Beeks, and Madison Venosky, all of Wabash; seven brothers and sisters, Albert Venosky of Cleveland, Ohio, Joey Venosky, Delores (Jack) Wilson, Patty Montford, Kathleen DaShase, Sally Richards, and George Richards, all of Youngstown; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandson, and a brother.
Memorial services will be held at First Church of God, 525 N. Miami Street, Wabash, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Robb Rensberger officiating.
