Angelo Venanzi composed a little as well. There are a few publications of his, but probably his biggest work was for a spectacle, or opera, called "America." This was produced by the impresario Imre Kiralfy, first in 1892 (in conjunction with Barnum & Bailey), and then the following year for the Chicago World's Fair of 1893, where it was produced under the aegis of the directors of the Metropolitan Opera (from New York), Henry E. Abbey, John B. Schoeffel, and Maurice Grau.
A copyist's manuscript score for "America" is located in the Music Division of the New York Public Library.
