Twila G. Veahman, 91, of Delmont, formerly of Paintertown, passed from this world to join the Lord and her beloved family and friends in her heavenly home, Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born May 24, 1918, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Alice (Weyandt) Hugus. Prior to her retirement she was employed at the Gee Bee Grocery Store, in Greensburg. Twila was a member of Community United Methodist Church, in Harrison City. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Veahman; a sister, Dorothy Gardner and husband, Clair; a stepdaughter, Elaine Rupert and husband, Ray; and a stepgranddaughter, Sharon Rupert Shinoski. Remembering her with love, Twila is survived by and will be sorely missed by a niece, Shirley (Gardner) Veahman and husband, Walter, of Penn Township; stepgranddaughters, Christine Chesky and husband, Richard, of Level Green, and their children, Alison and Nicholas, Diane Fierle and husband, Michael, of Murrysville, and their children, Hannah and Emilie; stepgrandsons, David Rupert and wife, Michelle, of Arona, and their children, Cassandra and Nathaniel, and Robert Shinoski, of Hunker; and sons, Matthew and Timothy. Friends will be received from 12:30 until 1 p.m. Monday in the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. John E. Ciampa officiating. Interment will be private.
