I am writing for assistance in finding the parents and siblings of Emanuel S. VEACH, Sr. of Thomasville, Davidson, NC. My guess is that he was born about 1800 that he died before 1850.
I do not have the “We Veitches” book so I don’t know if he is listed there.
The wife of this Emanuel S. VEACH Sr. was Mary UNKNOWN (b. Feb. 8, 1807 d. Jun. 11, 1889). This Mary is buried in the Emanuel Reformed Church cemetery in Thomasville,

Emanuel S. VEACH Sr. and Mary UNKNOWN had a son, Emanuel S. VEACH Jr. (b. Sep. 11, 1826, d. Dec. 14, 1886), who married Mary MORRISON and had a daughter Luretta E. VEACH, who married David A. Long, Sr.
Emanuel Jr. (b. 1826) is buried with his mother Mary (b. 1807) and daughter Luretta at the Emanuel cemetery ,

I do not know where Emanuel S. VEACH Sr. or his daughter-in-law Mary MORRISON are buried.
According to “Before Thomasville, What?” the Historical gleanings of Davidson County, North Carolina (Davidson County Bicentennial Committee, 1976), David Moffitt, a leading Quaker, deeded 37 acres of land to Emanuel S. VEACH Jr. The land was on the Thomasville-Lexington Road and “is now a part of the tract upon which is located the magnificent Community General Hospital” (

John Jacky Veach and Chloe Hilton lived in that area, but as far as I know they did not have a son named Emanuel.
Also, because this family was associated with the German Reformed Church, I wonder if they are German or Austrian Veitches/Veatches who came to NC by way of PA instead of English Veaches who came via MD and were Quakers (like John Jacky Veach).
Many thanks!
