Don't ask me why I looked the Vculek family up today, but I came across this post. I an a decendent in this family tree. I spoke with my grandmother before her death for a college family tree paper years ago. This si what I can offer as information:
Joseph & Petronilla Vculek (my great, great grandparents) were from the Moravia area of the Austro-Hungarian Empire within old Checjoslovakia. The two immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Nebraska. While there, they gave birth to eight children, one being my great grandmother, Anna Vculek, in 1875. She died in 1973. Anna Vculek married Vincent Hoska - son of Joseph & Antonia Hoska from Bohemia.
In 1913, Anna and Vincent gave birth to my grandmother, Josephine Hoska in Wahoo, Nebraska. Josephine Hoska married Charles McGee and gave birth to my father, James McGee, in Los Angeles, CA. He married my mother, Margaret Pavkovich, and in 1971, gave birth to me, James McGee, II in Pomona, CA.
If you wish to contact me for more information concerning the Hoska family and the stories of their migration to the U.S., please do not hesitate to contact me at
