I don't know if we're related, but I'll ask around in the family. Vatalaro from what I understand is a very common name, but for some reason the town in NY that you mentioned sticks out in my mind. I beleive I heard it mentioned in a story about one of my pop-pop's siblings as a child.

My great-grandfather, "pop-pop" Michael Vatalaro (I've heard accounts that his birth name was Domenico, but haven't been able to confirm that), was originally from Berwick, PA and moved to Bayonne, NJ. He had several siblings, most of which are a mystery to us. I think many of them lived in Boston. I believe one of his older sister's resided in NY.

My great-grandmother, Nancy Latorre Vatalaro died in December. I happened to do a search on her name and found your post.
