Clayton Vance

Graveside services for Clayton Vance, 90, Portland, who died there last Friday, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Riverside cemetery in Payette, by the Rev. Jack Anderson of the First Baptist church. Shaffer-Jensen Memory chapel is handling the arrangements.

Born May 11, 1879 in Ohio, he married Ruth E. Applegate, a former Payette resident. She died in 1964. Mr. Vance, a retired real estate salesman, had lived in Portland for the pats 40 years.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Esther Wells of Payette, a granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
