Now know his name to be Ashbill (a variation) van Scyoc and he was married in northern Mo (Davis Co., I believe) to Sarah Ann Farley, daughter of Thomas and Margaret.
I believe him to be a son of Cornelius Van Scyoc who served with an Ashbel Goodrich in the war of 1812 and both went to Ohio Co., Va. and then Cornelius in Ohio and Indiania.
