Actually it was the New Haven Wine Company and I've got an artical where he was interviewed about the verities of grapes he established.

His middle name was Bernard and I am actively researching his history, he was my Great-Great Grandfather. He may have owned two slaves and it isn't certain whether he actually returned to France, he may have gone to Missippi.

Mary Ann Mulhall, his wife, apparently left a convent to run off with him too....

I can remember my grandmother telling me we were kin to Rudy Vallee. I have a gap in the family tree after James Vallee b. 1823 (m. Lucretia Victoria Adelaide Montgomery b.1825). I have a document written in French (D? Edmond Vallee and Augustina Fredieu 17 Mar 1868). Whatever it is, it seems to have taken place in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Do you have information on any of these people.

I recognized your "Mystery Wisconsin" name from somewhere..

This is my connection to your family. I am trying to find out information on the Perraults;

Edward Perrault Sr.(my ggg Grandfather) had three children; Wilhelmine Perrault(my gg Grandmother), Edward Perrault Jr., and Leda Perrault. Wilhelmine married an unknown "Cote". They had a daughter Leda b. 1904 (USA).

Wilhelmine later married Alfred Joseph Vallee b. 18 Jan 1881 (Canada). His Parents were Octave Elie Vallee and Marie Julie Lalonde. These are all members of Rudy Vallee's family. My grandmother is Rhenda Leda Vallee b. 25 Nov. 1910 (NH, USA), d. 26 Jun 1965 (ME, USA). Rhenda is the daughter of Wilhelmine and Alfred Joseph Vallee.

My grandmother was Rudy Valle's (Hubert Prior Vallee) third cousin.
Alfred and The 1910 Lewiston, ME USA census shows Edward and his son Ed. Jr. to be living there. Both were born in Canada (French). Neither could read or write english and neither was employed. Edward Sr. Nationalized and Edward Jr. was alien. This puts Edward Sr. at 54 and Jr. at 34.

I have a ton of resources I can provide you with. I am sure I emailed you a website that has tons of info also. If not email me and I will provide it to you.

Seeking any information or connections to Alfred Joseph Vallee, b. 18 Jan 1881, Canada. I've, to date, found him on the 1910 US Census in Somersworth, NH (pretty much the same as Lewiston, Maine) with his wife (Wilhelmine Perrault), a child, a step-child, father-in-law and brother-in-law. I've also found the WW1 draft registration for him taken in September of 1918, in Lewiston, Maine.

His wife is listed as a widower in the 1920 US Census, and his daughter from that marriage is living in St. Mary's Orphanage in Lewiston.

I'm having difficulty locating him in Drouin, or any Canadian census. Any help would be appreciated.

I am that last male in that branch, but alas my surname isn't Vallee..

Thomas Archibald had a son, Thomas Arthur, who's name is either honored or reviled depending on your historical perspective. Uncle Tom never married and passed on almost 25 years ago.

Pierre Ceslestin Vallee in my family tree was known as;
Celestin Pierre Vallee he changed his name to Silas Valley when he came to America around 1868. I also have him married to Josephine Lachance and they had 13 children, Odile was number 12. He originally settled in Bay City, MI then migrated to Pinconning in 1873 when Odile was born.. I also have Odile marrying Medor but I don't have any children from them in my tree.

Would your records reflect if his son, Francois Vallee, b. 1766.04 03 married Marie Josephe Pare 3 Oct. 1798 in Ste Anne de Beaupre, PQ and later, Marie Simard 28 April, 1806? My ancestor, Angelique Vallee was a child of Francois (1766) and I believe, Marie Simard, but I cannot locate proof. If you have a source, that, too would be most appreciated. Thank you very much.

I have Solomon Vallee (b. abt 1837) and Rosalie Chevrette (b. abt 1841) listed in my records who are the parents of Marie Vallee born Mar 7, 1863.

Their daughter Marie Vallee married Thomas Marchildon on Jan 27, 1879.

I have no information on John Vallee in France, however he shows up in Beouf tp, Franklin Cnty, Missouri - settled there in 1864; married Mary MULHALL in 1865; children John T. b. 1865 & Mary b. 1869; returned to France after 1870 where his first family lived. No known connection to the VALLEEs of St. Genevieve.

John Vallee was a Vintner - established the Missouri Valley Wine Company.

Hello Marcel, I reviewed with great interest your postings on the LaVallee Family in 2003. I am researching Nicholas Francois Vallee, b. 5 Mar 1717, Quebec married to Marie Grenier. There have been as many as 11 children identified b. from 1750 to 1770. I doubt the birthdate of one possible child born to Nicholas and Marie when she was age 46. Would your history reflect a child, Nicholas Francois VALLEE, b. 1770 to this couple? Birthdate? This Nicholas may have been married to Marie Josephe Pare and Marie Simard, both unproven. I am interested in the illegitimate children of Francois Vallee. I cannot locate confirmed information on Nicolas Francois Vallee b. 1770 (unproven) son of Nicolas Francois Vallee, b. 1717 and Marie Grenier b. 1724. "My" Nicolas Francois b. 1770 was married to #1, Marie Josephe Pare (1793) and #2 Marie Simard (1806). I have some significant errors in this line and any help would be appreciated. Funny, after about 6 years of searching for anyone with info on my family I stumble onto this message. John B. Vallee was my great-great grandfather. My grandfather, Joseph F. Vallee is the son of John T. and Mary Vallee. My father is Joseph G. Vallee. I have some info on this family, but have never been able to trace them much after 1870. I have found them in land records in New Haven, MO, but do not know where they went after it seems they split up. My G-Grandfather, John T. ran away from home ( the story my dad tells) went up to Chicago and married Christy Hardy, they had several children. No one can say for sure where Mary went, Rumor was she went to CA where her daughter Mary lived. Not sure though.... have never found her in any records. What do you know and who are U?

I have heard a story from my aunt that "Elizabeth" was married and lived in Vermont and died at a young age. (I don't know her husband's name). It was reported that the husband was taking her remains back to Que. for buriel along with the young children who were crying on the train. Someone wrote a song about it (? THe bagagge Coach Ahead). I also have a photo of this Elizabeth as a very young girl probably about 14 years old.

My grandparents were Francis Xavier Vallee & Cecilia Gillem (Vallee) married about 1897-8 in Hamilton Ontario. His parents were Francis Xavier and Elisabeth Morin married at Notre Dame in Montreal. His father was Jean Elyse Vallee(y). The last name in this generation was spelled with a y at the end in one of the baptism records. I don't have a Louise as wife to any of the Francis' in my database.

RE: Charles Valley Cauchon. His father was Francis Xavier Cauchon and he was the one that took his wife's maiden name of Vallee (Angeli Vallee). Cauchon in French equates to a type of pig and perhaps they were tired of the jokes. Charles married Emily Caya 27 Oct. 1863 in WI.
Their children, Angeline b. 13 Aug. 1879, Frank b. 28 Sept. 1868, Joseph b. 2 April 1878, Daniel b. 8 Oct. 1871, Isabelle b. 11 Sept. 188?, Artillian b. 6 Dec. 1884, Odeal b. Aug. 1872, Twin boys died shortly after birth and a second set of twins, Antonine & Emily b. Feb. 1887 stillborn.
As you research Prairie du Chien, be careful as there are two Vallie/Valley families. Artillian (father was Charles Valley, married Charles Joseph Valley in May of 1907. The two Valley families ARE linked, but quite a ways back in time. Hope this gives you a good start. Who is the ggrandaughter? Andrea

Looking for information on my great-great grandfather, GILBERT VALLEE from Quebec. He married Delena Latourneau, also of Quebec, married early-mid 1860s.
They had at least two children:
John Vallee (later Valley), born in Quebec, who immigrated to US in 1875 (I assume with parents) and lived in Connecticut at least in the late 19teens and early 1920s at which time he was divorced.
Delena S. Vallee (later Valley), born in Quebec March 21, 1868, died in Bristol, Connecticut, USA Dec 23, 1929. She appears on the US Bristol Census in 1910 & 1920 with husband and family under husband Philip Ashley (orginally Lafrenier)

Searching for informtion on Leo Vallee born abt 1866 in Germany, Came to US abt 1892. Married Jessie? and had 3 known sons, John H. born abt 1894 in CA, Charles W. born abt 1900 in CA and Anthony L born abt 1906 in CA.

In 1900 Leo is listed as a Inmate in San Quentin. In 1910 he is listed with his wife Jasie? and 3 sons in Multnomah OR. I cannot find him or his family except for Anthony after 1910.

There is an Anthony L. Vallee listed on the 1930 Solano CA census with wife Myrtle L. and son Robert A.

I am also a descendent of John & Mary Vallee. My grandfather was John T Vallee III b. 9/26/1915, son of John T Vallee II b 11/17/1890 (brother to your gr grandfather), son of John T Vallee b 3/10/1865 and Josephine Christine Hardy, son of John Vallee b 1827 France married to Mary Mulhall b 5/1/1844.

I have quite a bit of VALLEE geneaology if you are interested, along with pictures. I have been working on this project for about 8 months now - still work in progress. I also have most posted on a private website.

Have you ever seen the name Catherine Vallee? My gggrandfather Robert McAlonie was married to a woman, who by some sources was Catherine Vallory, but I have seen it as Catherine Vallee. They lived In W. Troy, NY (Watervliet), Both died in 1879. had to have been married after 1857. Thanks, Mike

I am researching my friends family tree and was wonder if you had any information on Adaline Valley born September 1866. She is my friends GGgranddaughter of Adaline. Adaline's parents were Charles Valley born abt.1835 in Canada and Emily Caya born in Wisconsin. I have for siblings of Adaline are: Frank Valley born September 1868, Daniel Valley abt. 1870, Joseph Valley born abt.1874, Angeline Valley born September 1879. I have been able to find the family on the 1880 census.

Adaline married Gideon Martell on May 04, 1885 in Crawford county, Wisconsin and had 12 children.

I would like to exchange information. I would like to find more information on the parents and sibling like dates and where they settled.
