Hello,

This appears to be a very low traffic surname group, so just putting this message out there for the long run...

I'm working on my wife's family history and believe I have found her great-grandmother Elizabeth (Alzbeta) Polak's baptism record with the family living in # 174 Kostolne, Myjava, Slovakia.

Her parents were Martin Polak and Anna Valach, which match the names on her NYC marriage certificate. She married Josef Balsan in Manhattan in 1912. (Josef had emigrated from Majtény, Slovakia.)

If anyone is researching these lines, I'd love to share and compare any research - I have much to learn on them.

(In front of the church is a WWI memorial that has men with the family surnames on it.)
