Does anyone know of any family related to myy Great Uncle Edwin G Vagg his last place of residenence was 3 Clarendon Road Sketty, He was the headmaster of Dunvant School, and died in Sully Hospital aged 58 . He was a native of Morriston and served as a pupil teacher of Pentrepoeth Boys School. He received his training at Bangor Normal College and served as assistant master at Plasmarl,Danygraig, Cwmbwrla and Dyfatty before being appointed headmaster of Ynystawe School and later of Dunvant where he remained for 5 years. He joined the forces in 1915 and served as lieutenant acting captain in the Royal Marine Light infantry and was mentioned in dispatches. He was captured during he battle of the Somme, and during his internment made unsuccessful attempts to escape. In his early days he was an active member of Morriston Y.M.C.A. and Morriston Town Criket Clubs. He was an eccellent billards player and an outstanding member of Morristion Church Billards Club and later many years a member of Pennard Golf Cllub. he left a widow, 4 sons and 2 daughters One son was a pilot-officer in the Royal Air Force and another was in the Army. His sister is my late grandmother Susan Mary Vagg,she married Francis William Stroud and moved to Australia in the early 1920's. Mary had 2 sons Cyril and Keith Stroud. Cyril had 3 sons and 1 daughter. Keith had no children. I was wanting to find any relatives of his children who might be my cousins?
