Thank you for the reply.
I live in Seguin and get over to your area periodically as my grandaugther lives in Richmond. I would be happy to share the information I have with you.
I can tell you that Francis Bures and Annie Cejka were sister and their maiden name was Vacek. Annie Cejka came to America in June of 1890 with her husband, Josef Cejka. They went to Nebraska and stayed two years before they migrated to the Hallettsville/Wiemar area.
Josef Bures and Josef Cejka signed each others Letters of Intents to become citizens in Nebraska. The two families were close and each were God Parents for the others children born in Texas (see catholic church records in Weimar).
I have not been able nor have I started any serious rsearch on the Vacak family as I have concentrated on the Cejka name. I have been trying to determine the village of original in Czechoslovakia. On the Wiemar church records they show Josef Cejka's village as "Chlum", but there are 30 or so of those in the Czech Replublic. Annie (Vacek) Cejka gave her village of origin as "Zbur", but that is no where to be found.
Frank Zaruba in Hallettsville is also a decendant of Anna Cejka Zaruba, one of the kids of Josef and Annie Cejka. He may have additional information for you. I do have family photos of the Cejka's including Annie Vacak, but I do not have any information connecting her to other Vacek.
I would be very interested in any information you have to make the connections to her parents and family.
