BOARDMAN – There will be funeral services at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, Ohio followed by a noon Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Church in Boardman , Ohio for Josephine M. Grosso, 85, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.
Josephine was born Sept. 8, 1929, in Cervinara, Italy, the daughter of Ernesto and Giuseppina (DeGregorio) Vaccariello.
Josephine was a seamstress with Hartzell, Rose and Sons, as well as a landlord with her husband for many years.
She was a member of St. Luke Church.
Josephine loved flowers and gardening and playing bocce.
Her husband, Stanley J. Grosso, passed away Jan. 26, 2009.
Josephine will always be remembered lovingly by her three daughters, Mary G. (Cary Wm., deceased) Costello of Boardman, Ohio, Nancy G. (Alan) Yaslik of Huntington Beach, California, and Patty (Alex) Shumiloff of Streetsboro, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth, Matthew and Jennifer; five siblings, Crescenzo Vaccariello of Italy, Anna Pompeo of Poland, Ohio, Antonio Vaccariello of Boardman, OH, Principia Curtis of Chicago and Maria Lame of Columbus, OH; and numerous relatives.
Besides her parents and husband, Josephine was preceded in death by two sisters, Nicolina Giddings and Angelina Pacifico.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, OH.
