My paternal grandfather's name was Raymond Uzarski and as long as I knew him, he lived in Chicago. He never talked about his family and I suspect that maybe his mother was not married or something like that. I have always wanted to know about his family. Does anyone out there know anything about this?

Amy-

I am just starting looking into Uzarski's. I believe Raymond was the son of Stanislaus Uzarski (1897-____). Stanley was born in May of 1897 in Grand Rapids, MI. He married Rose Maynard.

Children
(J3-7) Raymond (b. 4/30/1921, d. 4/1986)

Sometime before 1930, Stanley and Rose were divorced. Rose reverted to her maiden name, took Raymond and moved back in with her mother and grandmother at 1253 Monroe in Grand Rapids.

Let me know if you get this. I would be interested in communicating with you more on Uzarskis.

Hi, Amy. I don't know anything about your branch of the family, I just wanted to say hi to another former Amy Uzarski!

Hi! Sorry it took me so long to reply to this, I just found it. Yes, that is my grandfather he died in 1986 and his mother's name was Rose Maynard. Thank you for this information, I did not know that they were divorced and that she had reverted to her maiden name. I don't know if she had any other children.
Thanks again!
